1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Mārtiņš, Brīvības iela, Riga, LV-1001, Latvia, who runs tipme (tipme.lv). By creating an account or using tipme, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use tipme.

2. What tipme does

tipme gives you a tip page and a QR code. Guests open your page and pay you directly, using the payment methods you add: bank transfer, Revolut, PayPal or your own payment link.

tipme is not a bank or payment service. We never hold, receive or transfer money, and we are not a party to any payment between a guest and you.

3. Who can use tipme

  • You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a legal agreement.
  • The information you give us must be true and up to date.
  • You may only receive tips for yourself, into accounts that are yours or that you are allowed to use.

4. Your account and payment details

You are responsible for making sure your payment details are correct. Guests pay to them directly, and we cannot reverse or recover a payment that was sent to a wrong account.

Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has access to it, tell us straight away.

5. Tips

  • Tips are voluntary. The guest decides whether to tip and how much.
  • How fast a tip arrives, and any fees, depend on the guest's and your bank or payment provider.
  • tipme cannot confirm that a payment arrived. The activity on your dashboard only shows that a guest opened one of your payment options.
  • Refunds, mistakes and disputes about a payment are between the guest and you, through the bank or provider that was used.
  • You are responsible for declaring and paying any tax on the tips you receive.

6. What you must not do

Don't use tipme to:

  • break the law, or collect money for illegal goods or activities
  • mislead or defraud anyone, or pretend to be someone else
  • launder money or hide where money comes from
  • harass or harm others
  • interfere with, overload or try to break into tipme

If you do, we may remove content, suspend your tip page or close your account.

7. Our content and yours

The tipme software, design and texts belong to us. You may not copy or resell them without our permission.

You allow us to show your name, photo and payment details on your tip page so that guests can tip you. You are responsible for the content you add.

8. Availability

We work to keep tipme running well, but we provide it as it is and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we decide to shut tipme down, we'll tell account holders at least 30 days before.

9. Liability

tipme shows your payment details to guests. The payment itself happens between the guest, you and your banks, so we can't be responsible for whether a tip is sent, arrives or is refunded.

We don't cover indirect losses, such as lost income, unless the law says otherwise.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or if the law requires it. When an account is closed, its tip page stops working and its data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using tipme after that, the new terms apply.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. If there is a problem, write to us first and we'll try to sort it out. If we can't, disputes will be settled by the courts of Latvia. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to go to court where you live and the protection of your local consumer law.
