What does tipme cost?
Nothing. No subscription and no commission: a €5 tip is €5 in your account. Your bank, Revolut or PayPal may charge their usual fees, as for any transfer.
Does tipme hold my money?
No. tipme only shows the guest how to pay you. The money goes from their bank or app straight to your account, and we never hold it.
Does the guest need an app or an account?
No. They scan the code with their phone camera and a page opens with the amount and ways to pay. They pay with what they already have: their bank app, Revolut, PayPal, Wise or Paysera.
How do I leave a tip if I paid the bill by card?
Scan the worker's tipme code and pay from your bank app by transfer or to their phone number. If they've added a payment link, you can pay by card too. The tip goes straight to whoever served you.
Which banks work?
Any bank that makes SEPA transfers, so every bank in Latvia, including Swedbank, SEB, Citadele and Luminor. With Swedbank, SEB, Citadele and Indexo you can also pay to a phone number.
How do I know a tip arrived?
When a guest starts paying you can get a notification on your phone. You see the money in your bank app, and tapping Got it in tipme adds it to your totals for the last 7 days, 30 days and this year.
Do I have to declare my tips?
Tips are your income, and declaring them and paying any tax is up to you. tipme never sees the money and doesn't declare it for you. The totals in your tipme dashboard help you add up what you received.
Can a whole team use one code?
Yes. Create a venue, invite your team and put the venue code on the tables. The guest picks who served them and the tip goes straight to that person.
Your code is ready in five minutes.
Add your IBAN or Revolut, print the code and stick it where you work.
